Create your design
The Build SMART offering can facilitate a wide variety of designs. If you've already got a plan for your building, we can work with you too. Simply download our files and adjust your plan to our standard panel selection. Or send us PDF of your plans and your location to get started. Our system structure is recognizable and preferred by traditional architects, builders and tradesmen.
Design is verified & order is placed
Our team works with you to make sure your design is cost-effective, simple to assemble and energy-efficient. We then provide a draft order for your review and approval. Once approval is received, we issue the final order for your signature. All signed orders are then assigned a production and site delivery date.
For large-scale projects, our Founder & Technical Director Adam Cohen will provide your team a Passive House orientation to share his experience and expertise on such things as achieving balanced ventilation and optimal matching of reduced HVAC loads with corresponding equipment needs. He will also provide on going Peer Review for your team as you develop your plans. This requires a $2,000 deposit to cover his time in case you decide not to purchase the Build Smart system. The deposit becomes a credit on your purchase.
Products arrive on site
Once your order is received, we begin fabrication of your components in the warm and dry shelter of the Build SMART factory. All building materials and finished components are protected from weather that often delays construction and compromises the durability and performance of site-built structures. Your energy-efficient windows and doors are preinstalled and air-tightened by experienced tradesmen under factory-controlled conditions.:
Build in record time
Build SMART provides on-site installer training to ensure your build proceeds smoothly. No special training or installation equipment is required. The system is simple. If your crew can set an ordinary wall panel, they can easily set Build SMART panels.
